Practice & Partnerships Coordinator​​

Position Type:

  • Part-Time Employee (Hybrid)

Compensation:

  • $24/hour

  • 12–15 hours per week

  • Hybrid schedule (approximately one in-office day per week; remaining hours may be completed remotely)

 

About Feeding the Root Nutrition

Feeding the Root Nutrition is a weight-inclusive nutrition counseling and consulting practice based in Bartlett, Tennessee. Our primary work centers around diabetes care, women’s health, culturally responsive nutrition, media communications and community partnerships.

Our mission is to help individuals and organizations build healthier relationships with food, wellness, and health while honoring culture, lived experience, and sustainable behavior change.

 

Purpose of the Role

The Practice & Partnerships Coordinator supports the daily operations, strategic partnerships, media initiatives, and long-term growth of Feeding the Root Nutrition.

This role maintains organized systems, coordinates communications, manages referral relationships, supports community engagement efforts, and assists with media, speaking, and partnership opportunities.

The ideal candidate enjoys both administrative work and relationship-building and is passionate about helping a growing healthcare and communications practice operate efficiently.

 

Core Responsibilities

1. Administrative & EMR Management (Ongoing)

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the practice by managing referrals, scheduling, patient onboarding, EMR workflows, administrative communications, and organizational systems that help the practice run smoothly.

2. Team Support & Onboarding

  • Assist with onboarding new team members, maintaining internal systems and SOPs, coordinating access to technology platforms, and supporting a positive team experience.

3. Communications & Community Event Support

  • Support practice communications, newsletters, events, workshops, and community outreach efforts. Assist with coordinating logistics, materials, and follow-up activities that help strengthen our presence in the community.

5. Partnerships & Media Support

  • Brand & Partnership Coordination

    • Research potential brand, healthcare, and community partnership opportunities.

    • Support relationship management efforts through LinkedIn and email outreach.

  • Media & Speaking Engagement Support

    • Coordinate logistics for television segments, podcast interviews, speaking engagements, webinars, and media appearances.

    • Coordinate post-event and post-segment follow-up communications.

  • Content & Communications Support

    • Organize content deliverables related to partnerships and campaigns.

    • Track content deadlines related to sponsored projects, speaking engagements, and media appearances.

    • Assist with organizing photos, event materials, and campaign assets.

 

Success Metrics (First 90 Days)

By the end of the first 90 days, the coordinator should be able to:

  • Maintain referral follow-up within 48 business hours.

  • Keep ClickUp and Practice Better records current and organized.

  • Produce monthly referral and operations reports.

  • Independently coordinate routine administrative and media logistics.

  • Maintain an organized partnership and outreach tracker.

  • Identify 3–5 potential partnership opportunities per month.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and follow-through across projects.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare administration, project coordination, communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or related fields.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Google Workspace.

  • Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.

  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.

  • Professional and personable communication style.

  • Experience with healthcare practices, community engagement, media, or partnerships is preferred but not required.

Paid Time Off

  • 40 hours (5 days) PTO annually

  • Available following successful completion of a 90-day introductory period

Paid Holidays

  • Eligible employees receive pay for the 6 holidays if regularly scheduled to work

  • $200 annual professional development stipend

  • May be used for approved books, workshops, trainings, certifications, memberships, or continuing education relevant to the role

  • Primary office location: Feeding the Root Nutrition
